I am going to share with you one of the most magical unexplainable unpredictable stories that I have ever encountered in my work with Spirit.
It is important I tell it to you in the order it happened because it makes the story so much cooler and rich with evidence. Stay with me for the twists and turns!
A few years ago, I had a client on a Saturday morning back when my office was at the yoga studio where I teach and hold events. This woman was great; we went through the usual paces and had both visits from her loved ones and some details about her life that she wanted to know about. Towards the end of the reading as I was wrapping things up, a man stepped in behind me. He was full of stories about how he died and there were some very specific things he conveyed. She had no idea who he was but he felt to me like an old boyfriend or at the very least, someone who cared a whole lot about her. One thing in particular that stood out was the way he made my lips tingle. I imagined someone who got stung by a bee or had some kind of allergic reaction.
I have only ever had my lips tingle when playing a musical instrument or one time, years before when I was having an allergic reaction to tomato sauce.
I mentioned this really specific detail and she really just could not place him.
As well as this reading had gone up until this point, this last guy messed up the vibe. I dismissed him and let her go, careful not to push too hard with him, even though his stories and examples were very clear.
Later that same evening, I was back at the yoga studio for a group reading event. Myself and three other brave women offered up messages from Spirit to a room full of hopeful people. Towards the end of the evening, I stood up with a very clear set of details about a man I had located in my mind’s eye, but I did not know who he belonged to. Generally, I prefer to find my person in the crowd and then connect to their people on the other side, a) because it is easier and b) it takes the confusion out of things for the people in the audience.
But this one was different, and his energy was palpable, so I just started talking. He was a lovely, passionate man who died well before he had the chance to reach old age. He worked hard, with his hands, some kind of trade work, I wanted to say iron work, but I wasn't sure because all I really had to go on was a bridge over his head, and the hard hat he wore. He also wore a very bright yellow t-shirt. He looked to me like a chubby middle aged version of Dawnson Knox. For those that aren’t Buffalo Bills fans, Dawson Knox is a tight end for the team, very handsome and very Irish complected.
Someone in the crowd almost immediately snapped him up, and we talked. I shared the great love I felt coming from him and messages about what he wanted the woman in question to know. He was going to send her a sign he said, but to keep an open mind. This comes up a lot where we expect a cardinal but we get a song instead, or we ask for a feather but we get the lights turning off or something in the house is out of place and we know we didn't do it. Basically it might not be what we asked for but it still counts as connection. He encouraged her to have an open mind and he kept pointing at his yellow shirt.
This woman was moved to tears, shaken by the contact and communication from this lovely soul. She knew exactly who this was. As luck would have it, she came to the yoga class I was teaching the next morning and she reiterated her shock and delight at the visit. She reached in her bag to pull out her phone. She then proceeded to show me a picture on her phone. I was prepared to see a picture of this man who connected with her, but instead I saw a picture of yellow sunflowers. As it turns out, her husband picked them up for her that morning at the store, on a whim.
YELLOW FLOWERS, on a whim.
I was bowled over by this synchronicity.
Beautiful. Love Never Dies. Stay open and let it flow to you.
And that was where I thought the story ended. That was what I thought was the message.
I was so moved by this story I asked her if I could share this with my readers. She said, of course, please share the love!
I promised to leave out identifying details and that night, I sent this story out to my readers.
The following day, the same woman came back to yoga. She said she had read the story and was so glad the way it turned out. Then she added, “Did you want to see a picture of him? You mentioned in your article that you thought I would share his picture.”
I told her I didn’t need to see him and how I saw him as chubby middle aged Dawson Knox. She laughed, but proceeded to pull out her phone, just as she had the day before.
This is where it gets good. This is where I felt like I was on Wayne’s World when they have a dream sequence and everything spins and gets blurry.
She shows me his picture, and I KNOW him.
I know him.
It all starts coming together in my brain.
I know him.
He died from an allergic reaction. He was barely 50.
And then my brain starts spinning all the more. The tingly lips.
Back to the morning session from Saturday. The guy who stood behind me, the one that the girl couldn’t place.
Because he wasn’t her person. He was early for the evening session. This is why the first girl didn’t understand his messages and evidence.
He knew that his very dear friend would be at the evening session. And that I would be the one to talk to her, so he got in line early.
Come on!
This sometimes is too much even for me.
When I told her that I knew him, she seemed confused. How did you know him?
Then for me, I thought, why didn’t I recognize him?
Well he stood behind me rather than next to his person.
He didn’t want me to see his face. That somehow made this whole thing so much more special.
This is not the first or last person I connected to that I knew here before they passed.
But this story has so many lessons that were about more than me knowing who he was.
Here are a few of my takeaways:
This Spirit energy is so wise, SO WISE. They know so many things. They know who we are going to talk to. They know how to make us say things that are meaningful to our clients. They convey just the right energy and vibration to get their point across.
They never stop loving us. They are pure energy and their emotions come through as clear as a bell.
They nudge our people to give us presents. A bunch of yellow sunflowers, from a guy who was wearing a bright yellow shirt, through a husband that was not in on the story? If they can nudge our people to share presents, they sure can nudge people to share messages and other details that we need to hear.
Even as a medium, I am profoundly skeptical. This guy knew that since it changed the way he approached me, all in the name of love to get to his friend. He found a way to work with me to get what he needed, but also he taught a skeptic a whole lot along the way about having faith and trusting what comes my way.
And finally, I can stop judging myself about message delivery and missed details because it will all make sense in the end. Eventually, with some time, patience and space.
This is why I do what I do. This is why I can’t quit Spirit. It is beautiful really, the things they say and the way they show up. They routinely remind me there is so much more to this lifetime. The love and energy that binds us exceeds well beyond anything we can imagine.
Stay open, be love, trust what you feel and know that somehow, it all works out in the end. 🌼
"Love never dies
Like energy
It is never lost
It has no beginning
No end
It is simply transformed
It is up to us
To accept what becomes of it"

Really beautiful. 🌻
